WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Lee High's Thomas Fraser finished tied for sixth on Sunday after the second and final round of the American Junior Golf Association's AJGA Preview at Waubeeka Golf Links.

Fraser carded a second round score of 78 to finish at 15-over 157, five strokes behind the event's co-champions, Brandan Frain of Sudbury and Matthew Conti of Walpole.

Frain and Conti went wire-to-wire atop the leaderboard, carding matching 77s on Sunday to go along with their twin 75s on Saturday on the par-71 layout at Waubeeka.

The girls champion was Bogata, Colombia's, Paula-Daniela Gomez-Arevalo, who went 75-76--151 to finish three strokes better than runner-up Melanie Green of Medina, N.Y.

While the winners in both the boys and girls divisions shot higher scores in Sunday's rain than they did in Round 1, all three Berkshire County competitors in the event improved their scores on Sunday.

Fraser dropped one stroke to move up from 11th to sixth place.

Pittsfield's Kevin Quinto shaved eight strokes off his first-day score, carding a 78 on Sunday to finish tied for 30th place.

Mount Greylock's Ben Gilooly took six strokes off his first round score, finishing with an 88 on Sunday to tie for 57th in the 61-player boys field.

Fifteen girls competed in the event.
