Lee Bowlers Stay in First Place in County
GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — J.T. Sorrentino rolled the second best game (244) and series (426) of the day to lead the Lee High Black team to a 29-2 win over Mount Greylock on Friday in the Berkshire County Bowling League event at Cove Lanes.
Devyn Olds backed up Sorrentino with a 373 series as the Lee Black team stretched its first-place lead to 9.5 points over McCann Tech after three events this winter.
The Hornets picked up a 24-7 win over Monument Mountain. Kalley Vanuni rolled the best series of the day among the girls with a 344.
Tom Hankey Jr. of Monument Mountain had the top game (279) and top series (547) of the week.
Alissa Rathbun of Mount Everett rolled the best game of the day among the girls with a 204 as the Eagles dropped a 20-11 decison to the Lee Orange team.
In the day’s fourth match, Pittsfield topped Drury, 21-10, to move into third place behind Lee and McCann Tech. Nick Puntin led the Generals with a 221 game and a 386 series.
The league competes at Greylock Bowl and Golf in North Adams on Tuesday.
