Lee Girls, Mount Greylock Boys Earn wins

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Ashley Kelly earned a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles to help the Lee girls tennis team to a 4-1 win over Mount Greylock on Wednesday afternoon.

 

The Wildcats also got a win from Kayla Witters at No. 3 singles and the doubles tandems of Maddy DeSantis/Suriana Lee and Anna Chang/Sandra Ortega at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.

 

Mount Greylock's Tara Shastri won her first singles match over Sarah Winston, 6-2, 6-2.

 

In boys action, Mount Greylock topped Lee, 5-0.

 

Nyein Soe, Gray Kaegi and Josh Narey recorded straight-set singles wins.

 

With Kaegi inserted at No. 2 singles, Mounties coach Steve Bryant tried some different combinations in doubles and got a pair of straight-set wins from the teams of Jake Foehl/Brady Foehl and Matt Wiseman/Jacob Fink.
