Hoosac's Levesque, Monument's Rocheleau-Holmes Win in Great Barrington

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Hoosac Valley’s Justin Levesque was the first boy across the finish line, and he was chased by five runners from Wahconah in a five-team meet at Monument Mountain on Wednesday.

 

Levesque finished in 14 minutes, 23.86 seconds, more than a minute ahead of runner-up Riley Gladu (15:27.86).

 

Gladu was closely followed by four of his Wahconah teammates, as the team’s top five runners finished within 36 seconds of one another. Lucas Wildrick, Cadighan Gladu, Aidan Garcia and Cooper Calvert placed third through sixth, respectively.

 

In the girls race, Monument Mountain’s Madeleine Rocheleau-Holmes defended her home turf with a first-place finish, hitting the tape in 17:02.33.

 

Taconic’s Ahliya Phillips placed second in 18:45.00.

 

Wahconah took third and fourth places and four of the top eight. Jocelyn Sommers placed third in 19:12.69.
