PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Lenox volleyball team Friday won its ninth straight match, beating Taconic, 25-18, 25-23, 25-11.

“In summary, we just made more mistakes than Lenox,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said. “They played a very clean game with few errors and were able to dig up most of our powerful hits.  Getting points off Lenox is not an easy task, and we did more subbing than usual to help outside hitters Jadyn Galliher and Janayah Jones catch their breath as they were working really hard on the net.

“In the second set this seemed to be helping as they were able to go 100%, while Sophia Duclos, Aliyah DelSonno, Sophie Aubin and Jazmyn Wilson kept the passes coming from the back court.”

Jones had five kills to lead Taconic, which got 15 digs from Sophie Aubin.

The Thunder (6-3) hosts Mount Everett on Monday.

Lenox (9-1) hosts Easthampton on Monday.
