Defense Propels Millionaires in Four Sets

BELCHERTOWN, Mass. – Emily Barenski Tuesday pulled up 22 digs to lead the Lenox volleyball team to a four-set win over Belchertown.
 
Hailey Armold had 15 digs in a strong defensive effort as the Millionaires prevailed, 25-11, 25-12, 23-25, 25-13.
 
“The team kept their energy up and had consistent passes to their setter,” Lenox coach Rachel Meczywor said. This set up some strong hits from Abby Winger and middle hitters, Charlie Keator and Kelsey Kirchner.”
 
Meczywor also credited strong serving from Etta Schnackenberg, Arnold and Barenski with contributing to the win.
 
Lenox (8-1) goes to Taconic on Friday.
