Mount Greylock Volleyball Cruises Through First Round
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Kelsey MacHaffie put down six kills Saturday as the reigning Division 5 State Champion Mount Greylock volleyball team swept Charlestown in the first round of the tournament.
MacHaffie served seven aces in the 25-14, 25-9, 25-14 win.
Mount Gryelock’s ninth-graders Tyanna Lepicier and Olivia Perez registered seven and eight kills, respectively. Perez also served five aces.
Emily Alvarez pulled up 18 digs for the fourth-seeded Mounties (18-3) who advance to to the Sweet 16 to face either Calvary Chapel Academy or St. John Paul II, who play on Monday.
