Mounties Sweep Agawam on the Road

AGAWAM, Mass. – Kylie Sweren had 11 kills Monday to lead the Mount Greylock volleyball team to a three-set win over Agawam.
 
The Mounties survived a tight first set and went on to take control for the road victory, 27-27, 25-14, 25-16.
 
Sweren had four digs and a pair of aces.
 
Olivia Cook served a team-high seven aces and pulled up eight digs.
 
Emily Alvarez had a team-high 18 digs and served five aces. Kelsey MacHaffie put down seven kills, and Rubi Hernandez Soriano had 12 digs.
 
Mount Greylock celebrates Senior Night on Wednesday when West Springfield visits.
 
"These seniors know how to lead and how to play every point of a volleyball match,” Mount Greylock coach Greg Geyer said. “Their experience in moving to the next point with energy is what has allowed us to weather many storms this season and pull out tight set victories like tonight's first set."
