Jacinto, Wahconah Rally Past West Side

DALTON, Mass. – Emma Jacinto recorded nine kills, and the Wahconah volleyball team Wednesday rallied in the second set on its way to a 3-1 win over West Springfield.

 

The Terriers took the first set and had a 14-4 lead in the second before Wahconah battled back.

 

The hosts fought off four set points to finally even the match and went on to a 19-25, 28-26, 225-16, 25-21 win.

 

Jacinto recorded a couple of aces in the win.

 

Megan O’Bryan also served two aces to go with seven kills and three digs.

 

Eve Colombari passed out 18 assists.

 

Wahconah (1-0) hosts Agawam on Saturday.
