PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Ella Stodden passed out 21 assists Friday to lead the Taconic volleyball team to a three-set win over Sci-Tech.

Stodden also served five aces and had a kill and a dig in the 25-10, 25-18, 25-16 win.

Janayah Jones again played out of her natural position, taking over at middle hitter, and finished with six kills and three blocks.

“We miss seeing [Jones] swing from the outside, but Aliyah DelSonno had stepped up to fill in and swung in Janayah's spot wisely and powerfully earning her four kills in just two sets,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said. “Aliyah's first kill was a beautiful fake swing where she paused in the air allowing the two blockers to start to drop and then tipped over their hands for the point.”

Jadyn Galliher had five kills to go with six aces and four digs, and Sophie Aubin pulled up 11 digs.

Taconic (14-4) learns Saturday who it will face in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class B Tournament.
