PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Playing without a key contributor, the Taconic volleyball team swept Ware for its fifth straight win in its home regular season finale.

Jadyn Galliher had eight kills, and Ella Stodden passed out 18 assists in a 25-9, 25-9, 25-13 win.

“We lost a very important player to an injury in practice yesterday causing us to have to make some lineup adjustments tonight,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said. “Middle hitter Fernanda DeSiqueira is out for the rest of the week but there is a good chance she'll return in time for the Western Mass tournament.

“Janayah Jones did what was best for her teammates and moved into the middle hitting position from the outside hitter spot where she has been absolutely crushing it.”

Jones finished with a pair of blocks and three kills to go with five aces.

Stodden added six digs to her 18 assists while playing just two sets.

Sophie Aubin finished with 10 digs.

Taconic (13-4) finishes the regular season on Friday at Sci-Tech.
