WARE, Mass. – Fernanda DeSiqueira accounted for 15 percent of Taconic’s points in a sweep of Ware on Thursday night.

DeSiqueira served seven aces, made two blocks and threw down two kills for 11 total points in a 25-13, 25-14, 25-15 win.

“She also pulled up four digs and had one assist, making her the only Taconic player to have a stat in all five categories,” Thunder coach Lance Fyfe said.

Everyone contributed as the team improved to 5-1 this season. All 13 Taconic players in uniform made multiple marks on the stat sheet.

“Setters Ella Stodden and April Soasti each played two sets and did a great job running the offense,” Fyfe said. “Ella led the team with nine assists and April was right behind her with seven.

“Janayah Jones played only 2 sets as well but came up with an impressive team-high eight kills.”

Taconic looks to extend a two-game winning streak on Monday when it hosts Sci-Tech.
