Wahconah Gives Taconic Its First Loss

DALTON, Mass. – Megan O’Bryan delivered 11 kills Friday night to lead the Wahconah volleyball team to a three-set win over Taconic.
 
O’Bryan also served an ace in the 25-13, 25-16, 25-16 win.
 
“When you look at the scores you'd think it was an easy win for Wahconah, but honestly I didn't feel like we were out of any of those sets until they reached their 23rd point,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said “Awesome defensive plays on both sides of the net made for a really exciting night as powerful hits rang back and forth.”
 
Taea Cunagin had five digs to go with five kills and a pair of aces for Wahconah.
 
Eve Colombari directed Wahconah’s offense with 20 assists and served a pair of aces.
 
Ella Stodden had a double-double for the Thunder with 18 assists and 10 digs. Jadyn Galliher pulled up 11 digs to go with her seven kills. And Janayah Jones led Taconic with nine kills.
 
Taconic (3-1) goes to Monument Mountain on Tuesday.
 
Wahconah (4-1) is at Lee on Monday.
