PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Janayah Jones had seven aces Monday to lead the Taconic volleyball team to a three-set win over Holyoke.

Jones also provided four kills and three digs in the 25-14, 25-16, 25-11 win.

“We got off to a rocky start tonight, giving up eight points in the first set off bad serves, but in the second set we shook off our serving woes and as a team ended the night with 28 aces,” Taconic coach Lance Fyfe said.

Jadyn Galliher had six of those aces.

Ella Stodden passed out nine assists, and Angelese Ward Green tied for the team lead with four kills.

Taconic improved to 3-0 with the win.

“This is the most versatile team I have ever coached and I'm really excited about the rest of the season,” Fyfe said. “We now have three days to prepare for our trip to Wahconah this Friday to face what should be the powerful offense we've faced so far.”
