Stodden, Thunder Win Opener

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Ella Stodden passed out 22 assists for the Taconic volleyball team in a four-set win over Putnam Vocational on Tuesday night.

 

Stodden also had 12 digs, five aces and three kills in a 25-18, 25-18, 23-25, 25-9 win.

 

“Setter Ella Stodden did an awesome job distributing the ball to our very aggressive front line all night,” Taconic coach Lance Fyve said. “All five hitters had at least five kills with Jadyn Galliher and Angelese Ward Green leading with seven each.”

 

Janayah Jones had a double-double with 14 digs and 10 aces, both leading the team.

 

Sophie Aubin had 12 digs.

“The thing that I'm most proud of tonight is that we were able to maintain our focus throughout the whole match and we kept the pressure on Putnam all night,” Fyfe said. “We also did a great job of taking care of the ball and minimizing our mistakes.”
