PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Britney Perkett scored the game-winner midway through the second half Tuesday as the Pittsfield girls soccer team defeated Rutland, Vt., 1-0, at Kirvin Park.

 

Sadie Tierney set up Perkett for her team-high third goal of the year, and the Generals (2-6-3) won for the first time in eight games.

 

Hayley Tobin stopped five shots to earn the shutout win.

 

Pittsfield hosts Taconic on Thursday.
