Arace's Two Goals Lead Lenox Girls

HATFIELD, Mass. -- The Lenox girls soccer team defeated Smith Academy Monday afternoon 3-2 with the help of Alessandra Arace's two second half goals.

 

Smith took a 2-1 lead at half-time, but the senior forward tied the game in the 48th minute with a pass from Tova Brown and then eight minutes later scored the winning goal. Nicole Gamberoni earned the assist.

 

Brown scored the first goal of the game 10 minutes in from Jacklynn Hathaway before Smith rebounded and netted two more to take over the lead.

 

Lenox keeper Shannon Meisberger totaled eight saves.

 

Lenox (2-2) hosts St.Joseph on Thursday.
