HOLYOKE, Mass. – Madeline Pope had a goal and two assists Monday to lead the Lenox girls soccer team to a 5-0 win over Holyoke.

Sophia Schnackenberg scored the game-winner in the 14th minute with an assist from Pope, and Madison DiGrigoli added a goal three minutes later with another setup from Pope to give the Millionaires a 2-0 half-time lead.

“The team was struggling a bit with the turf conditions but were able to make the needed adjustments to their play and their energy in the second half,” Lenox coach William Welch said “We certainly finished stronger than how we started, and it ended up as a great team win with five different goal scorers.”

Jane Elliot and Jocelyn Fairfield added second half goals.

Sophia Carraro and Sophia Schnackenberg split time in goal, combining for nine saves.

Lenox (5-6-1) goes to Hoosac Valley on Tuesday.
