Pittsfield, Hoosac Valley Girls Soccer Tie, 2-2

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Pittsfield’s Randi Duquette scored in the 51st minute Wednesday to give the Generals a 2-2 tie at Hoosac Valley.

 

Duquette converted an assist from Tess Tierney to cap the scoring as the teams traded goals throughout.

 

Emery Sime had the other PHS goal, off a feed from Liz Swanson.

 

Riley Robinson scored twice for the Hurricanes, once on an assist from Shaleigh Levesque.

 

Pittsfield’s Gabby Billetz and Pittsfield’s Lex Swanson each made eight saves.

 

“We did not play up to our potential today with poor first touches and not winning the second ball,” Hoosac Valley coach Kathy Budaj said. :We struggled to connect passes and work together. We had numerous opportunities in the box, but could not convert them to take the pressure off so we started to panic and not possess.”

 

The Hurricanes (2-2-2) host Lee on Thursday.

 

Pittsfield (2-5-1) goes to Wahconah on Thursday.
