BELCHERTOWN, Mass. – The Belchertown girls soccer team got goals from five different players in a 5-0 win over Pittsfield on Saturday in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class B Tournament.

The top-seeded Orioles jumped out to a 3-0 lead at half-time and never looked back in advancing to this week’s semi-finals.

“Belchertown was the better team in all areas, but we didn’t come with the same approach we have in most other games so the score is disappointing,” Pittsfield coach Molly West said. “I’m proud of our work and growth this season to make the post-season. Hopefully this is a learning experience regarding areas of growth for next year.”

Harolyn Castillo made 20 saves for Pittsfield (3-13-1), which awaits its opponent in the tournament’s consolation round.
