SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Hannah Haesaert scored a pair of goals Thursday to lead the South Hadley girls soccer team to a 3-0 win over Pittsfield.

PHS coach Molly West said she was pleased with the effort she got out of her team against the Tigers, who came in as the 11th ranked team in the commonwealth in Division 4.

“We had some chances at the end which is another game where we don't give up and play with a great deal of heart,” West said. “Harolyn Castillo made some amazing saves and Molly Pope demonstrated her skill and poise all over the field.”

Castillo ended up with 20 stops in Pittsfield’s goal.

The Generals (2-10-1) are at Chicopee Comp on Tuesday.
