WESTHAMPTON, Mass. – Shayne Monihan scored a pair of second-half goals to give the Hampshire girls soccer team a 2-1 win over Pittsfield on Monday.

BriJai Ellerbee scored with an assist from Madison Stetz for the Generals, who got 20 saves from Harolyn Castillo.

“We played well in the first half even though Hampshire took more shots,” Pittsfield coach Molly West said. “We were dominant on 50/50 balls and defensive pressure. We gave up two goals that were from defensive marking. Harolyn Castillo was amazing in net, making many saves under pressure.”

Pittsfield (2-9-1) is at South Hadley on Thursday.
