PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The South Hadley girls soccer team used its speed and pressure to take a 4-0 win over Pittsfield at Kirvin Park on Wednesday.

Four different Tigers found the back of the net, starting with Maddie Soderbaum’s first-half game-winner.

“In the 2nd half, we had much more intensity and won a majority of 50/50 balls,” Pittsfield coach Molly West said. “We still need to move the ball for width and finish in the penalty box as we did have several chances. We are a young team and continue to show bright spots; we just need to put two halves together. I am confident it will come.”

Harolyn Castillo made 20 saves for the Generals.

Pittsfield (0-4) hosts Chicopee Comp on Friday.
