Kinne Scores Pair to Lift Monument Mountain

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Abby Kinne scored a pair of goals Monday to lead the Monument Mountain girls soccer team to a 2-0 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

"Monument moved the ball well and created some nice opportunities," Hoosac Valley coach Kathy Budaj said. "[Our] girls never gave up and kept working hard."

 

Kinne scored both her goals in the first half.

 

Emily Mead made a pair of saves to earn the shutout win in goal.

 

Emma Meczywor stopped seven shots for Hoosac Valley.

 

The Hurricanes (3-5-1) host Lenox on Friday.

 

Monument Mountain (4-3) is at Pittsfield on Friday.
