Horan Leads Monument Mountain Girls Past Hoosac Valley

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Fiona Horan had a goal and an assist Tuesday to lead the Monument Mountain girls soccer team to a 2-1 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

Molly Flynn also scored a goal as the Spartans jumped out to a 2-0 half-time lead and held off the Hurricanes in the second half.

 

Natalie Pompi scored with an assist from Sydni Jamros midway through the second half for the Hurricanes (1-2), who host Lenox on Thursday.

 

Monument Mountain (2-2) hosts Belchertown on Friday.
