Ruggiero Leads Monument Mountain Girls to Victory

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Olivia Ruggiero scored twice and set up a third goal Thursday to lead the Monument Mountain girls soccer team to a 6-1 win over Taconic.

 

Gabi Defelice and Maya Cooney each had a goal and an assist, and Aubrey Blanchard and Ariana Rave scored for the Spartans, who ran their record to 5-0.

 

Kendra Buda scored with an assist from Sydnie Sherman for Taconic, which got 10 saves from Leeyia Hoose.

 

Helen Pajeski made one save for Monument Mountain, which goes to Lenox on Saturday morning.

 

Taconic (2-5) goes to Lenox on Tuesday.
