Monument Mountain Girls Improve to 5-0

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Iris Firth scored three goals and assisted on a fourth on Wednesday to lead the Monument Mountain girls soccer team to an 8-3 win over Springfield Central.

 

The Spartans led, 7-1, 10 minutes into the second half, when Alex Tenney scored with an assist from Jade Nelson (one goal, three assists).

 

The Golden Eagles then got two goals back before Monument Mountain’s Mercedez Raifstanger (two goals, one assist), provided the final margin, cashing in an assist from Mabel Cooneey.

 

Monument Mountain (5-0) goes to Mount Greylock on Monday.
