Scanlon, McDermott Lead Mounties in Shutout Win

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Maire Scanlon and Lily McDermott each scored a pair of goals Monday to lead the Mount Greylock girls soccer team to a 5-0 win over Springfield Central.

 

The Mounties broke the game open late, scoring four goals in the last seven minutes.

 

Mila Marcisz scored the game winner in the 33rd minute with an assist from Molly Sullivan, who ended up with two assists.

 

Gigi Nicastro also assisted on a goal, and Mai O'Connor made one save to earn the shutout.

 

Mount Greylock (8-0-3) hosts Ware on Friday.
