Mount Greylock Girls Defeat Mount Anthony

BENNINGTON, Vt. — Caroline Flynn and Sophie Leamon scored to lead the Mount Greylock girls soccer team to a 2-1 win over Mount Anthony on Monday.

 

Melissa Swann set up Leamon for the game's first goal in the first half. Midway through the second, Flynn converted an assist from Miranda Bucky to give the Mounties some insurance.

 

Less than a minute later, the Patriots' Emily Hunt scored to cut the lead in half.

 

But Charlotte Rand made four of her nine saves in the second half to preserve the win.

Mount Greylock (4-1) travels to face St. Joseph on Wednesday.
