Wahconah Girls Soccer Edges Hoosac Valley
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Sadie Anderson scored midway through the first half, and the Wahconah girls soccer team Monday earned a 1-0 win over Hoosac Valley in the Western Massachusetts Division 3 quarter-finals.
Maria Gamberoni set up Anderson for the game-winner, and Sage Howes made six saves to earn the win in goal.
Kelsey Bulson stopped 18 shots for Hoosac Valley (8-8-3), which dropped its third 1-0 decision this fall against Wahconah.
Second-seeded Wahconah (13-3-2) moves on to the sectional semi-finals, where it will face either Monson or Hampshire, who play on Tuesday afternoon.
