Viner Leads Wahconah Girls in Shutout Win

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Izzy Viner scored twice, and Sarah Houle set up a pair of goals Monday as the Wahconah girls soccer team defeated Pittsfield, 6-0, to wrap up an undefeated season in the Berkshire County North Division.

 

Sadie Anderson, Morgan Marauszwski, Allison Washburn and Cat Boino each scored a goal, and Michaella Moncecchi made five saves to earn the shutout win in goal.

 

Wahconah finishes the regular season with a record of 11-3-2 overall and 7-0-1 in the league.

 

It learns Wednesday against whom it will begin play in the Western Massachusetts tournament.

 

Pittsfield (2-12-1) goes to Monument Mountain on Tuesday.
