Wahconah Girls Win Big on Senior Night

DALTON, Mass. -- The Wahconah girls soccer team defeated Taconic Monday afternoon, 7-0, on Senior Night.

 

The Warriors saw goals from six different players; all of which were scored in the first half.

 

Asi Graham opened the scoring four minutes into the game off the rebound of an Emmy Cote shot.

 

Cote then scored off a corner kick three minutes later to advance their lead to 2-0.

 

Perin Genaway, Gianna Moncecchi, and Haley Cimini each added a goal of their own. Victoria Gamberoni scored two.

 

Taconic goalie Tori Serre had 19 saves in net. Wahconah goali Kayla Kowalczyk had two.

 

Wahconah (11-3-1) travels to Easthampton Friday afternoon and Taconic (1-12-1) hosts St. Joe's Tuesday afternoon.
