Wahconah Girls Open with Convincing Win

DALTON, Mass. -- The Wahconah girls soccer team defeated Holyoke Catholic Thursday afternoon, 10-0, in its first game of the season.

 

Eleven different players were involved in the scoring. Senior captain Jocelyn Hill started the rally less than a minute into the game from 25 yards out, sending it to the corner.

 

Wahconah led 7-0 at half with goals coming from Emmy Cote, Asi Graham, Perin Genaway, Lily Howes, and two from Arden McKnight.

 

In the second half, Cote added another, Amelia Duoghtery and Gianna Moncecchi also scored.

 

Wahconah travels to Lee on Saturday for an 11 a.m. start.
