Longmeadow Sneaks Past Wahconah Girls

DALTON, Mass. – Gracie DiStefano scored in the 58th minute Thursday to send the Longmeadow girls soccer team on to a 1-0 win over Wahconah.

 

Edrie Collins stopped 13 shots for Wahoncah, which was outshot, 14-1.

 

“Longmeadow played a clean, well possessed game and the Wahconah defense stood strong until DiStefano received the ball from Siobhan Gallagher, beating the last defender and sliding the ball into the net,” Wahconah coach Maggie Rivers said.

 

Wahconah (3-11) goes to Monument Mountain on Saturday.
