Hoosac Valley Girls Tie in Regular Season Finale

WARE, Mass. -- Ware’s Andrea Bell scored late in the second half to erase a Hoosac Valley lead and give the hosts a 1-1 tie on Wednesday.

 

Kim Mach scored in the second half to put the Hurricanes up by a goal.

 

“We were generating many opportunities in the offensive end, but the opportunities for goals keeps eluding us,” Hoosac Valley coach Kathy Budaj said. “Finally, Kim Mach took the ball on the left side and blasted a quality shot past the Ware goalie to go up, 1-0.”

 

Mach also had a try off the crossbar in the closing minutes, but the Hurricanes could not get the go-ahead score.

 

Emma Meczywor made eight saves to earn the win.
