Hoosac Valley, Mount Greylock Girls Play to Scoreless Tie

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Another day, another hard fought tie for the Hoosac Valley girls soccer team.

 

Gabby Billetz made four saves, and Mount Greylock’s Delaney Babcock stopped eight shots as the Hurricanes and Mounties played to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday afternoon.

 

“Each team had a couple of good chances and could not put it away,” Hoosac Valley coach Kathy Budaj said. “Today we were a bit flat and were not connecting our passes as well as we should have.

 

“Great defensive effort by both teams. This is our fourth tie in a row, all to Berkshire North teams. We will continue to work on finishing during practice. We had opportunities but could not convert.”

 

Hoosac Valley (2-2-4) hosts Drury next Wednesday.

 

Mount Greylock (7-1-1) goes to Lenox on Friday.
