Bresett, Meczywor Lead Hoosac Valley Girls Past Taconic

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Claudia Bresett and Ashlee Meczywor each scored two goals to lead the Hoosac Valley girls soccer team to an 8-2 win over Taconic on Tuesday.

 

Cairigan Greene, Ana Zanolo, Sydni Jamross and Lily Boudreau each scored a goal, and Riley Robinson had three assists for the Hurricanes.

 

“Today was a solid effort by all,” Hoosac Valley coach Kathy Budaj said. “The girls played composed and moved the ball well.”

 

Kendra Buda and Taea Bramer each scored for Taconic, which got 16 saves from Leeyia Hoose.

 

Grace Kronick and Mia Gale combined to stop three shots for Hoosac Valley (4-6-1), which travels to play Pittsfield on Thursday.

 

Taconic (3-8) hosts Belchertown on Thursday.
