Mendel Leads Hoosac Valley Girls Soccer Past Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Alie Mendel scored twice Thursday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls soccer team to a 6-2 win over Taconic.

 

Nine different Hurricanes had a goal or an assist in the win, which saw Kelsey Bulson and Grace Kronick combine for six saves in goal.

 

Cairagan Greene, Claudia Bresset, Abby Hugger and Chloe Martel each scored for Hoosac Valley (4-1-2).

 

Taconic (5-3) got goals from Ashley Rufo and Jasmyn Middleton and eight saves from Jackie Boateng.

 

Taconic goes to Lenox on Monday while Hoosac Valley goes to Mount Greylock.
