Unbeaten Monson Too Much for Hurricanes

MONSON, Mass. -- The Hoosac Valley girls soccer team lost on the road Monday afternoon, 3-0, to undefeated Monson.

 

Monson held a 1-0 lead at half-time, but the Hurricanes allowed two more goals in the second half to secure the win.

 

"We gave up an early goal which was tough," Hoosac coach Kathy Budaj said. "We did not have much of a warm up after a long bus ride.

 

"Once we got going we played well and hung with them. They are a very skilled team and I can see why they are undefeated this season.

 

Hoosac goalie Kelsey Bulson had six saves in net.

 

Hoosac Valley (3-9-1) travels to Drury High School Thursday afternoon for a 4 p.m. start.
