Broderick Leads Monument Girls Past Hoosac Valley

CHESHIRE, Mass. Erica Broderick scored twice to lead the Monument Mountain girls soccer team to a 4-1 win over Hoosac Valley on Saturday morning.

 

Micaela Bartlett had a couple of assists for the Spartans.

 

Hoosac's Lily Kronick got the Hurricanes on the board late in the first half to cut into a 4-0 deficit with an assist from Cali Romaniak's indirect free kick.

 

"We started a bit slow, but really picked up the intensity in the end of the first half and second half," Hoosac coach Kirstin Holmgren said. "It was quite the game. We had some good opportunities.  They really worked hard especially in the second half.  Both teams competed well today."

 

Hoocac (3-4-1) travels to meet Pittsfield on Wednesday.
