Schnackenberg Leads Lenox Past Hoosac Valley

LENOX, Mass. – Sophia Schnackenberg scored a pair of goals Thursday to lead the Lenox girls soccer team to a 6-1 win over Hoosac Valley.
 
“Lenox controlled possession throughout with excellent passing,” Lenox coach Ollie Welch said. “Two goals from aggressive striker Schnackenberg. Three goals scored from [Jocelyn] Fairfield’s corner kicks, one of which was a fantastic header from [Sophia] Carraro.”
 
Fairfield ended up with two assists. Cate Welch and Madison DiGrigoli each scored a goal.
 
Hoosac Valley got a goal midway through the second half from Genevieve Lagess.
 
The Hurricanes (0-4) host Mount Greylock on Tuesday.
 
Lenox (3-1) hosts Drury on Tuesday.
