SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Ainsley Krans scored an unassisted goal in the seventh minute, and the Mount Everett girls soccer team Thursday went on to a 3-0 win over Taconic.

Chevelle Raifstanger scored with an assist from Josie Waiveris, and Makayla Carpenter scored on a direct kick to round out the scoring.

“With us jumping up early it gave me the opportunity to plug in some younger girls in some different positions and get them some much needed time to develop game skills,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said.

Aliyah Creamer made two saves to earn the shutout win in goal.

Mount Everett (3-4) hosts Hoosac Valley on Tuesday.

Taconic (0-6) hosts Holyoke on Monday.
