Steuernagle Goal Lifts Mount Everett Girls to Tie

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Hannah Steuernagle scored in the 38th minute to give the Mount Everett girls soccer team a 1-1 tie with Pioneer on Friday.

 

Serena Batacchi set up Steurenagle for the tying goal 10 minutes after the visitors took the lead.

 

“This was a great game to watch,” Mount Everett coach Jessica Murtagh said. “We were finally connecting three or more passes and ending with an offensive attempt.”

 

Madison Ullrich stopped eight shots in Mount Everett’s goal.

 

The Eagles (1-5-1) host Lenox on Wednesday.
