McCann Tech Girls Edged in State Voc Final

WALPOLE, Mass. -- Norfolk Aggie's Brianna Poles stopped nine shots to lead her team to a 2-1 win over McCann Tech in the State Vocational Small School State Championship game on Monday.

 

Izzy LaCasse scored with an assist from Emma Dupuis for the Hornets (11-3-2).

 

Brenda Murphy and Catherine Carr scored for Norfolk Aggie.

 

Keira Lennon stopped 10 shots in goal for McCann Tech, which likely learns Tuesday its first opponent in the upcoming MIAA state tournament.

 

This year, instead of a four-team State Voc tournament, the top two teams in the class advanced directly to the final.
