McCann Tech Knocks Off Smith Voc

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Jordyn Lloyd scored a pair of goals and set up the other McCann Tech tally in a 3-2 win over previously unbeaten Smith Vocational on Monday.

 

Lainey Field scored a goal, and Shaylee Lawson and Faith Brazeau each had an assist for the Hornets, who avenged a 4-0 loss in Northampton in their season opener.

 

“I couldn’t be more proud of these ladies today,” McCann Tech coach Lindsay Lincoln said. “Huge win today against an undefeated, well coached and a team that hasn’t let up a goal all season. We won as a team today, everyone contributed to this win.

 

“This gives us great momentum moving forward, being tied for first in the division.”

 

Monique Fredette scored both goals for Smith Voc.

 

Sophia Francesconi stopped 16 shots for the Hornets.

 

McCann Tech (7-1) looks to continue its winning streak on Wednesday when it visits Putnam Voc.
