Lawson Leads Hornets Past Westfield Tech

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Shaylee Lawson scored one goal and assisted on another Thursday as the McCann Tech girls soccer team beat Westfield Tech, 3-0.

 

Jordyn Lloyd scored the game-winner unassisted.

 

Lazuri Levesque then gave the Hornets some breathing room with an assist from Lawson. Gracelyn Wojicek set up Lawson for the game’s final goal.

 

“Great win today over a good team,” McCann Tech coach Lindsay Lincoln said. “Our passing was sharp and everyone gave 100 percent.

 

“Sophie Reid controlled the defensive line, and Faith Brazeau had a great game in the midfield.”

 

Sophia Francesconi made eight saves to earn the shutout in goal.

 

McCann Tech (4-1) goes to Lee on Monday.
