Hornets Explode for 11 Goals on Road

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Seven different McCann Tech Hornets found the back of the goal Thursday as the girls soccer team pounded Commerce, 11-0.

 

Jordyn Lloyd and Ryleigh Rathbun each had two goals and two assists, and Sophie Reid and Lilly Speed each scored twice.

 

“Strong play from our younger players off the bench,” McCann Tech coach Lindsay Lincholn said. “We are improving each game and passing the ball well.”

 

Sophia Francesconi stopped five shots to earn the shutout in goal.

 

McCann Tech (2-1) goes to Duggan Academy on Tuesday.
