McCann Tech Girls Secure State Tourney Spot

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Jazzmyn Valego scored a pair of goals and set up two more Wednesday to lead the McCann Tech girls soccer team to a 6-0 win over Hampden Charter.

 

Emily Feder finished with a goal and three assists.

 

Jordyn Lloyd, Shaylee Lawson and Athena Shafer each found the back of the net in the win.

 

The Hornets (9-4-1) secured a berth in the state tournament with the win, moving five games above .500 with four games left in the regular season; its final two regular season games will be determined when the Western Mass regional tournament seeds are determined on Tuesday.

 

They will look to improve their seeding in the Division 5 State Tournament when they travel to Putnam Voc on Friday.
