LaCasse Game-Winner Lifts Drury Girls at Hopkins

HADLEY, Mass. -- Hannah LaCasse scored with nine minutes left to give the Drury girls soccer team a 2-1 win over Hopkins Academy.

 

After a scoreless first half, Maddie Saunders got the Blue Devils on the board in the 47th minute with an assist from Elli Miles.

 

Ten minutes later, the Golden Eagles leveled the score with a goal from Tia Fayden.

 

But with time getting short, Saunders set up LaCasse for the game-winner.

 

Brooke Bishop made eight saves to earn the win in goal.

 

Drury (12-0-1) goes to Hampden Charter on Friday.
