Lee Girls Edges New Lebanon, N.Y.

LEE, Mass. -- Shannon Finnegan scored twice, and Ann Macchi had a pair of assists to lead the Lee girls soccer team to a 3-2 win over New Lebanon, N.Y., on Tuesday.

 

“We played much better offensively this game,” Lee coach Lauren Finnegan said. “We created many scoring opportunities. We just didn’t capitalize on all of them.”

 

Karli Retzel scored a goal, and Brianna Hawley made five saves for the Wildcats, who took a 3-1 lead into half-time.

 

Lee (5-7) goes to Taconic on Thursday.
